Clayton Ronald Glass, age 69, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, passed away on March 23, 2026. He was born on May 26, 1956, in Henderson, Tennessee, and was raised in Ashland, Wisconsin.
Clayton proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Military Police officer for 16 years. His time in service reflected his strength, dedication, and sense of duty—qualities that carried throughout his life.
Before settling in Florida, Clayton lived in Battle Creek, Michigan. He later made the move to DeFuniak Springs to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren—a decision that reflected just how deeply he valued family and the time he shared with them.
Outside of his service, Clayton found joy in the simple things. He loved riding his Harley, embracing the open road and the freedom it brought. He cherished peaceful, quiet days spent with his partner in life, Tonja, creating moments that meant more than anything else. He also enjoyed a good glass of bourbon, a passion he shared with his son-in-law, John Bollman—time spent together that will be especially cherished. Above all, Clayton loved his family deeply. He did everything he could to be there for his children, always showing up in the ways that mattered most.
Clayton will be remembered for his strong will, his incredibly big heart, and his sense of humor. He was stubborn in the best way, never backing down, and he kept his quick wit and jokes all the way until his final days—bringing smiles to those around him even then.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Tonja E. Glass; his daughters, Maria R. (John) Bollman, Monica R. (Glass) Schroeder, and Marlena R. Glass; and Brandon Medrano. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren who will carry on his memory.
Clayton is survived by his mother, Carolyn Glass. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Glass (December 27, 2014), and his brother, Curtis Glass (June 1, 2015).
He is also survived by his siblings: Christine Scott; Cathleen (David) Mesik; Coralee (Jonas) Manske; and Ceomi (Ben) Shanks.Clayton’s legacy lives on in the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the strength he instilled in those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
“May the road rise to meet you, the wind be always at your back, and may your final ride be smooth as you journey through the open roads of heaven.”
