Constance Leigh Bowden

Constance “Connie” Leigh (Noffsinger) Bowden passed away October 12, 2025 – her 73rd birthday – in Sandestin, Florida after a long battle with Dementia. Born in 1952 in Memphis, Tennessee to Gene and Cora Noffsinger, Connie attended Bartlett High School in Bartlett, Tennessee. She enjoyed art, music, dancing, plants, and reading. She spent much of her life studying the bible and praying.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Cora, her siblings: Randy, Roddy, Candy (her twin sister), and Lisa Noffsinger, as well as her husband of 27 years, Chesley “Buddy” Bowden Jr.

Connie married Buddy in 1992 after they met in Destin, Florida. Coincidentally, he too was from Memphis, Tennessee. The couple enjoyed traveling the world; however, their greatest adventure was moving to Hohenwald, Tennessee, embracing nature and retirement. One of Connie’s favorite past times was sitting on her front porch with her beloved Pekingese, “Boo Boo”. After all, her most treasured moments were simple ones reflecting on peace and joy.

Connie leaves behind her youngest brother Rusty Noffsinger, her children Calley (John) Cook, Sherry (Marty) Petty, Julie (Josh) Theiss, Beau (Becky) Bowden, and Joan (Rock) Murphy. Grandchildren: Cassie, Catie, Courtney, Kayla, Miranda, CJ, Gavin, Ben, Amanda, Andi, and Adam. Great grandchildren: Harper, Teagan, Daxton, Brendan, Kherington, Maddux, Troy, Joey, Ella and Miles.

Her family is eternally grateful for the exceptional care that Connie received at Brookdale in Sandestin Beach Resort. Her caregivers supported her needs like family, and along the way, nurtured her body and spirit. We are all sad to say goodbye but are relieved that her suffering has ended and she is at peace.
