April 11, 1950 — June 22, 2025

Pensacola, FL

Cynthia “Cyndee” Sue Cason, born April 11, 1950 in Lakeland, Florida, went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2025 in Pensacola, FL.

Cyndee was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two children: Harland J. Cason III (Anjeanette) and Kristie Cournand (Henri); and six beloved grandchildren: Benjamin, Isabel, Nathanael, Julianne, Gabrielle, and Cruz. She also leaves behind her sister Sheila Walls and her brother David Moats. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jesse Moats, and her brother-in-law Billy Walls.

Cyndee spent many years working as an insurance auditor, but her true life’s work was loving and caring for those around her. She was a great Southern cook and was always happiest when she had prepared each person’s favorite dish.

She had a special love for giving presents and was particularly known for giving to each grandchild gift bags of his or her favorite candies – a tradition she never grew out of even as the kids grew up. Her heart was inclined to take care of other’s needs, especially if it meant providing a home-baked treat.

Cyndee came to know the Lord Jesus as her Savior at a young age, and her faith in him remained the anchor of her life. Her compassion for others, her enduring strength, and her devotion to her family reflected her deep and abiding love for Christ.

Above all else, her greatest joy was found in being a mother and then a grandmother. Her legacy lives on in the lives she shaped and the love she gave.

She will be dearly missed, but we rejoice in the promise that she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. Her favorite phrase from Scripture was from Psalm 30:5: “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” She is fully experiencing the joy of the Lord now and is in his presence.

A private memorial service will be held for her immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bible Mission Global by mail at 5600 Wyoming Blvd NE, Suite 180, Albuquerque, NM 87109 or at https://www.biblemissionglobal.org/get-involved/donate to donate online.
