IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donnie Paul
Castleberry
October 30, 1953 – February 16, 2026
Donnie or ( Paul as he was better known to his family and friends) and PawPaw to his grandchildren. He loved his family and worked hard for them.He especially loved his 2 youngest granddaughters Ceci and Penny, and spoiled them whenever he could(as he had spoiled all the older grandchildren) and always looked forward to visiting them in VA.He loved football, baseball,Nascar and working in the yard but especially loved fishing and went whenever he could. He had served in the Army, and worked as a cabinet maker, He lived a simple life and was content with it.
He will be missed, especially by his wife, children, and grandchildren. Until we meet again,I Love You Always.
"Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room.I am I and you are you.Whoever we were to each other,we are still. Call me by my old familiar name.Speak to me the easy way you always did put no difference into your tone, wear no forced air or solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.Play, smile, think of me,pray for me. Let my name be forever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effect, without the ghost of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was, absolutely unbroken continuity. What is death? Nothing at all. Why should be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you. For an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
