Franco Fedele

Dr. Franco Fedele died on April 27, 2026. Born in Italy, he served as a Commander in the Italian Navy and later moved with his family to the United States, where he devoted his professional life to higher education. Franco spent many years as an instructor of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of West Florida. He brought a deep respect for discipline, purpose, and learning to all that he did. An avid swimmer and tennis player, Franco valued both intellectual and physical rigor, and often inspired others to appreciate the same balance. He is survived by his wife, Karen, to whom he was deeply devoted and with whom he had just celebrated 50 years of marriage; his daughters, Kathryne and Audrey, of whom he was immensely proud; his beloved grandson Luca, and his sister, Concetta. Franco will be remembered for his strength of character, quiet humor, anecdotes, and the lasting influence he had on his family and friends.
