Geoffrey Kirk Lott, age 65, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025. Born on November 30, 1960, Geoffrey spent most of his life in Pensacola, Florida, where he built relationships, shared his talents, and became known by many as someone you could count on.
Geoffrey was an incredibly skilled handyman who could fix just about anything. He took great pride in his work and was always willing to help others—often for little more than the satisfaction of being useful. A true people person, he got along easily with everyone he met and was known for his kindness, approachability, and generosity.
For many years, Geoffrey was the devoted longtime companion of Mary Patricia Smith, lovingly known as “Pat,” until her passing on August 5, 2013. He remained close to Pat’s children—Robyn Giles, Lisa Walton, and Ricky Smith—and their families, whom he cared for deeply.
Geoffrey is survived by his daughter, Kathryn Bennett, and her husband, Christopher Thorn; his son, Geoffrey Kirk Lott, Jr., and his partner, Sara Foster. He was the proud grandfather of four grandchildren: Mina, Vaden, Braedon, and Harlow, all of whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by his brother, Alan Lott Jr., along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Janis Elma Lott (1958–2013); his niece, Jennifer “Jenny” Dickens (1984-2006); his nephew, Jeremiah J. Lott (1984-2019); his mother, Kathryn Carroll (née Alman), who passed away in 2009; and his father, Alan Durell Lott Sr., who passed away in 2019.
Though our relationship had its distance at times, Geoffrey was loved—and he loved his family. He leaves behind memories of hard work, helping hands, and a quiet presence that touched many lives. He will be remembered with respect, gratitude, and love.
