In Loving Memory of Gerald “Jerry” Masaitis
August 2, 1954 – August 13, 2026
Gerald “Jerry” Masaitis, 72, of Pace, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, hard work, treasured memories, and a family who will forever cherish the life he lived.
Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was the beloved husband of Gloria “Diane” Masaitis, a loving father to Julie Masaitis, and a caring stepfather to Angela Blackard and Brian Blackard. He was a loving brother to David Cordine and a proud grandfather to Chase, Peyton, and Logan, who brought immeasurable joy to his life.
Jerry was a hardworking man who dedicated much of his life to providing for and taking care of his family. Since 1995, he proudly owned and operated Panhandle Glass, where his dedication, knowledge, and willingness to help others made him someone people knew they could always count on.
If something was broken, Jerry could fix it. He had a natural gift for figuring things out and became known as the person who could repair just about anything. His hardworking nature, determination, and resourcefulness were reflections of how deeply he cared for those around him. Jerry worked hard not simply for himself, but to make sure the people he loved were provided for and taken care of.
Outside of work, Jerry loved to fish, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Some of the greatest memories his family will carry with them are the moments they spent together, the stories they shared, and the time Jerry devoted to those he loved most.
Jerry will be remembered as a strong, hardworking, dependable, and loving man. He spent a lifetime using his hands to build, repair, provide, and care for others. Though those hands may no longer be here to fix what is broken, the love he built into his family will remain forever.
He leaves behind a lasting legacy of hard work, love, family, and countless memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
Rest peacefully, Jerry. You worked hard, you loved hard, and you gave your family everything you had. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
