Glenn Arthur Niblock

Glenn Arthur Niblock 86, of Pensacola Florida has gone home to be with the Lord, July 23, 2026.

Glenn is the exceedingly handsome son of Arthur and Mabel Niblock, born October 15, 1939 in St Louis, Missouri. He attended Ritenour High school, graduating in 1958. While in high school, he fell madly in love with Judith Bennett, marrying her quickly so as to not let her get away in April of 1958.

He and Judy then moved to campus where Glenn attended Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy. Glenn graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. McDonnell Douglas quickly snatched him up as he was certified as a professional engineer. He worked on Project Gemini, the MD F-4 Phantom II, and the F/A-18 Hornet development programs. While working for McDonnell Douglas he also earned his MBA through Southern Illinois University. Never one to approach life halfway, during this time he and Judy also became the proud parents of five children .

Later he chose to move the family to San Diego. Glenn worked with several companies in consulting for nuclear power plants, working with regulatory commissions, training, reactor design, and litigation support. Later he formed his own company, Scripps Consulting, to continue to improve the work in this area. He was an integral part of training and planning so things never went big boom.

Glenn is survived by his wife Judith (Bennett) Niblock, his sons Michael (Judy), Lee, and daughters Linda (Bobby) Cable, Julie (Christian) Paulsen, and Stacey (John) Bates.

Glenn was the grandpa to them all: Kendra Sands, Samuel & Madelaine Cable, Kevin & Patrick Niblock, Cheyenne Aguilera, Elizabeth & Zoe Niblock, Chris, Daniel & David Paulsen, Laurel, Eric, Tobin and Evan Bates. But no, those genes didn’t stop there! Glenn and Judy also have six great grandchildren; Marianne Paulsen, Ilsa Niblock, Titus, Corlyn & Nora Bates, and Paris Hagins.

Glenn was known for his kindness, generosity of spirit, brilliant thinking and completion of those ideas. He had a ready wit with the ability to laugh easily. Most importantly he was known for his faith. He talked with many about his faith, making sure his children and grandchildren heard the gospel. We will miss all his prayers for us. He was an active member of New Hope Church and Maranatha Chapel in San Diego, and Liberty Church in Pensacola.

When not taking time for deep deep thought, Glenn enjoyed cheering for the Cardinals, the Padres, and the Chargers. He never gave up his desire to fly, getting his pilot’s license in his late 40’s. He also enjoyed skiing, deciding to take lessons in Switzerland. He and Judy enjoyed skiing with family. He was known for his donut runs with his kids and the grandkids.

A memorial to honor his life will be held at Liberty Church (2221 S. Blue Angel Parkway) on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 10:30 a.m.
