Joe served his country with honor for 22 years in the United States Navy, retiring as Chief. His commitment to service exemplified his loyalty and dedication, values he carried throughout his life. Joe's vibrant personality made him the life of the party, always ready with a hearty laugh or joke earning him countless friends who adored him for his great sense of humor and unwavering support.
He was known for his love of music, often seen enjoying a good record while savoring a cigar and a drink, moments that highlighted his genuine passion for life. A wonderful cook, Joe delighted family and friends with his culinary skills, creating meals that were as rich in flavor as they were in love. He cherished the time spent with his close friends and family, always prioritizing those he held dear.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Melissa Gurley, and grandsons, Xavier Gurley and Titan Gurley, who will carry forward his light and laughter in their lives. He leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, camaraderie, and love that will forever resonate with those who knew him.
