In Loving Memory of Lynn Victor Parker
July 5, 1943 – August 16, 2026
Lynn Victor Parker, a proud Texan, passed away on August 16, 2026, after a long battle with heart disease and heart failure. He was born on July 5, 1943, in Rockwall, Texas, to LV and Eula Mae Parker.
Lynn spent most of his life in the Dallas area, making his home in Garland. In 2022, he left Texas and moved to Panama City, Florida, to be closer to his daughter, Susie, and her three boys.
In his younger years, Lynn proudly served in the United States Air Force. He later spent most of his career as a plastics engineer, working for both Igloo and ThermoServ.
Lynn was a man who didn’t always say a lot, but when he did, you listened. He had strong opinions, a strong work ethic, and a deep love for his family. He was a lifelong conservative and a proud American, but above all, he was a dad, grandfather, brother, and uncle who loved spending time with the people he cared about.
He could often be found sitting in his truck watching his grandson at football practice, simply because he enjoyed watching him play. He rarely missed an opportunity to watch his grandchildren at football games, baseball games, gymnastics meets, volleyball games, and other activities. Being there for them was one of the many ways Lynn showed how much his family meant to him.
Lynn is survived by his brother, David Parker and wife Susie; his children, Michael Parker and wife Amy, Dustin Slack and wife Kathryn, Spencer Slack and wife Leighanne, and daughter Susie Williams and husband Robert; along with his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 39 years, Dawn (Stewart) Parker, who passed away in 2018, and his parents, LV and Eula Mae Parker. He was also preceded in death by his niece, Tammy, with whom he shared a birthday.
In the years following Dawn’s passing, Lynn found friendship with Donna Kemp, who remained an important part of his life until his death.
Lynn’s greatest joys were found in the simple things—family gatherings, a little poker, watching his grandchildren, and simply being there for the people he loved. His family will remember his dry humor, unwavering loyalty, and the countless ways he showed his love simply by showing up.
In keeping with Lynn’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. The family will gather privately at a later date to celebrate his life and the memories they shared.
