Margaret Janice Riego (Moody), age 84, passed away peacefully, entering into the loving presence of her Lord and Savior. She spent the majority of her life in Pensacola, Florida, where she built a life grounded in faith, family, and quiet strength.
Margaret was a kind, loving, devoted, and brave mother, whose Christian faith guided her life and shaped the way she loved and served others. She proudly served her country in the United States Air Force, reflecting her courage, discipline, and commitment to service. Following her military service, she worked as a clerk at Monsanto, where she was known for her dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic.
She was the beloved mother of her only child, her son, Michael Riego, who was the greatest joy of her life. Her love was steadfast and unconditional, and her prayers, encouragement, and quiet wisdom were gifts she gave freely.
Margaret is survived by her brother Ray Moody, her sister Shirley Miller, and her brother-in-law Fred Huff, along with extended family and friends who will remember her gentle spirit, strong faith, and unwavering love.
Private services were held in Pensacola, Florida.
Though she will be deeply missed, those who knew and loved Margaret take comfort in the promise of eternal life and the hope found in Christ. Her life was a testimony to faith, perseverance, and love, and her memory will remain forever in the hearts of those she touched.
