Mary Magdelene Juneau Easter July 17, 1942 – June 29, 2025

Mary Magdelene Juneau Easter passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the age of 82. She was surrounded in spirit by the love of her family and the many lives she touched throughout her years.

Born on July 17, 1942, Mary lived a life defined by care, devotion, and warmth. Her kindness was unwavering, and her gentle strength could be felt by all who had the joy of knowing her. She was a storyteller, a caregiver, and a source of love and laughter for generations.

Mary was a proud and loving mother to four sons: the late Jim Emmers of Le Center, MN; Mike Emmers and his wife Mandy of Blue Earth, MN; Tom Emmers of Mankato, MN; and Bob Emmers and his partner Eliza Alsaker of Le Center, MN. She was blessed with ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense pride and joy to her life.

Mary is survived by her devoted husband, Don Easter, and by Wayne Emmers, with whom she shared many meaningful years and a lasting family bond.

She was preceded in death by her sons Jim, Calvin, Jerry Wayne, Billy Ray, Dennis, and Darwin McCoy; her parents Icie Lee and Luther McCoy; and sibling Sam. McCoy. She is also deeply mourned by her surviving siblings: sister Ila Spates of Pensacola; Ira McCoy and his wife Yvonne of Pensacola; Marie White of Pensacola; and Aubrey McCoy of Pensacola

Mary found joy in the simple, beautiful things in life—playing bingo with friends, camping under the stars, sharing meals at Golden Corral, and telling stories that could bring a room to laughter or tears. Her role as a Certified Nursing Assistant was not just a job, but a calling. She cared for others with dedication, compassion, and a gentle touch that brought comfort to so many.

Her heart was always with her children, and she especially cherished the times they would travel from Minnesota to visit her. Those visits filled her home with laughter, conversation, and love—the very things she held most dear.

Mary’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and selflessness. She will be missed beyond words and remembered with every story told, every meal shared, and every act of kindness extended in her honor.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at a later date. In keeping with her spirit, her family invites you to honor her memory by sharing a story, visiting a loved one, or offering a helping hand to someone in need.
