Michael William Bower, 53, of Pensacola, FL, passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2025, surrounded by the family he so dearly loved.
Mike was born on February 26, 1972, in Middletown, RI, to William and Karen Bower. He graduated from Pine Forest High School in 1991 and went on to work as an electrician for 20 years before retiring due to health issues. Though life brought challenges, he embraced that time as a gift, pouring himself into what mattered most—his family. He filled his days with laughter, stories, and simple joys that will be treasured forever: watching movies and football, singing along to songs in the car, and sharing meals and memories with everyone who gathered around him.
Mike leaves behind his children, Mary (Jesse) Bailey and Cecil Bower, and his two beloved grandchildren, Owen (4 years) and Eloise (2 months); his loving partner, Crystal; his mother, Karen Bower; and his sisters, Lani (John) Titus and Lori (Brian) Carter, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
In 2014, after the loss of his beloved wife, Charity, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and memories, was blessed to find love again with his devoted partner, Crystal, who brought him comfort, laughter, and joy in his later years. Together they created a new chapter of companionship and devotion.
His family and friends will remember his quick wit, his compassionate heart, and the way he could always bring a smile to those around him. He was a great listener, always ready with a warm embrace, and his playful spirit shone through in the little things—like when his grandson would balance a tablet on his belly, turning it into the perfect “table.” He lived life on his own terms and loved with his whole heart, leaving behind a legacy of humor, warmth, and love.
Though he will be deeply missed, his family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace, reunited with loved ones, and free from pain. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Sunday, October 5, at 2:00 p.m. in the Main Sanctuary at First United Methodist Church 6 East Wright Street Pensacola, FL 32501 Reception following in The Wright Place.
