Michelle Angel (Mazuk) Coggins, 58, passed away on January 8, 2026. She was born on May 20, 1967, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Michelle spent her whole life caring for others. She worked as a nurse for 27 years in all phases of nursing from momma‑baby unit to med‑surg. After, she chose to share her knowledge by becoming a Health Occupations teacher at James‑Rumsey Technical Institute, where she taught for two years and inspired the next generation of healthcare professionals. Later in her profession, she became Assistant Director of Nursing, which was her final position before retirement.
Family was Michelle's greatest joy. She loved having everyone together and was known for hosting gatherings for every occasion. She made everything truly special. Michelle was incredibly creative and loved crafting, baking, and writing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice C. Lucus (Rowland) and Franklin J. Mazuk.
Michelle is survived by her loving husband, Richard G. Coggins Jr.; her children, Christopher R. Coggins, Phillip J. Tippett [Caitlin], and Cassandra A. Tippett; her grandchildren, Victoria E.M. Coggins, Andrew G.R. Coggins, and Silas W. Norton; and her siblings, Kenneth F. Mazuk, Bethanne M. Hill [Dennis], and Brian Mazuk.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Dolphin Pavilion in Navarre Beach, Florida. Family and friends are welcome to join in remembering and celebrating Michelle's life.
