Patti Louise Sessoms, lovingly known as Pat, left this world peacefully in her sleep at home in Mossy Head, Florida, on September 16, 2025. Born on November 12, 1936, in Lamar, Colorado, Patti's journey was marked by kindness and a fierce spirit that profoundly touched the lives of those around her.
For over 30 years, Patti dedicated herself to the tree work industry alongside her beloved life partner, Leroy Wolfe. Their partnership was not just professional but also a beautiful tapestry woven through years of shared labor and love, reflecting their commitment to each other and their craft. Patti's ability to balance her gentle heart with a fierce determination meant that everyone who met her felt a special connection, and her warmth drew others in easily.
Patti was a devoted mother and grandmother to her children, Deborah McDowell, Tracey Gonzales, Clyde Edward Moon Jr., and Lisa Martin, and her grandkids, Gaege Leigh, and Joshua Mcdowell, among 16 others, and many great grandchildren. She poured love and devotion into raising them, helping instill a sense of strength and resilience in each of her children. She also cherished the memory of her late children, Becky Moon and David Moon, holding them in her heart as a testament to the bond of family that transcends even the toughest of times.
Her passion extended well beyond work and motherhood; Patti found immense joy in nurturing her garden, where she delighted in growing vibrant plants and flowers. The sight of hummingbirds flitting about, drawn to her blooms, was a source of serenity for her, as she spent countless hours enjoying the beauty of nature right in her own yard.
To describe Patti as merely kind would be to underestimate the depth of her character. She was a fierce protector of her loved ones and possessed an unwavering strength that remained with her until the end. Patti touched the hearts of many; her legacy will undoubtedly live on through the lives she impacted and the memories she created.
As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we remember her not only for the physical presence she brought to the world but for the warmth she radiated, the love she shared, and the indelible mark she left on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Rest peacefully, dear Patti, knowing you have enriched the lives of so many. Your spirit will forever be cherished.
