Randy was born March 16, 1968 in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Melvin Herrick and Arlene Slayter.

Randy was the proud owner of Herrick's Painting. He built the business on hard work, integrity, and taking care of the people around him.

Randy’s greatest passion was racing asphalt modifieds. He lived for the track driving car #34 — racing, wrenching, and spending time with his racing family and friends. The speed and the community around the track were where he felt most at home.

At home in DeFuniak Springs, Randy loved spending time with his dogs. They were his constant companions. He was known as loyal, hardworking, with a big heart and a quick sense of humor. He was always quick to lend a hand.

Randy will be deeply missed and is survived by:

his daughter, Samantha Croucher;

his grandson, Rexton;

brothers, Steve Herrick (Keri Herrick), Russell Herrick, and Scott Herrick (Jessica Herrick);

his beloved dogs;

and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Herrick and Arlene Slayter, and his loving sister, Sherry Warner.
