Rose Christina Weldon

June 19, 1957 — April 9, 2026

Rose Christine Weldon, age 68,died April 9th,2026 in Hospice care at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL. of an unexpectedly quick bout with Leukemia.

Rose passed to the comfort of her Lords arms surrounded by immediate family and friends. We all will miss her smile and love… ‘Eddie’ ,her son, shared that his mom always said to him. ..”Love you more than all the stars in the sky“. Rosie was generally shy around folks who she didn’t know well but could be the life of the party around loved ones and friends. She was the kind of gal that’s never been afraid to say what’s on her mind, and has been known to be the truest of friends to those close to her.

Phala, her little sister, only 1 year 8 days apart, remembers the days during their lives together as best friends… running in the forest at midway in Gulf Breeze, running on the beaches of the Gulf coast and traveling up and down, coast to coast and even to the Caribbean during their life adventures together. ‘Rosie’ has always loved and adored her momma and son Eddie. She ferociously protected those she loves and can be equally tough if you cross her.

During her life she has created the most beautiful flower and vegetable gardens you’d ever see. She truly has always had a big green thumb!
Rosie was creatively gifted in many ways. She has made gorgeous seasonal wreaths for years ,created funny and memorable scrapbooks for loved ones, helped family and friends with wedding flower arrangements , bouquets and dozens of crafty things that seemed to give her real joy.
Rosie particularly adored the too little time she had to spend with her precious granddaughter Ellie but has admittedly looked forward at times to leave the less endearing parts of life in the past…

Rose leaves behind her mother Jerry L. Nettles, her beloved son Edward M. Flores II and his wife Dawn, her sister Phala Weldon Gellert and her life partner Wendy, her brother Michael C. Nettles and his wife Darlene, her beloved niece Tiffany R. Nettles, along with nieces, nephews, friends, grand children Rebecca, Ashlie, Nathan and Paul, and great grand children Ellie , Baylor and Addison.
Rose is preceded in death by her father, Donald R. Weldon, and her step father, Jay R. Nettles.
