Timothy Dillon (Tim), a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on July 14, 2026, after an extended illness.  Born on November 17, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, Tim lived a full and vibrant life.

Tim graduated from Floral Park Memorial High School in Floral Park, NY, in 1961.  Shortly thereafter, he began his noble service to his country as a proud member of the United States Navy, serving from July 1961 to November 1964.  Following his military service, he pursued higher education at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, where he earned his bachelor's degree.

On October 21, 1967, Tim married Kathy Funke in a beautiful ceremony at Our Lady of Victory Church in Floral Park.  Together, they shared 58 years of marriage.  Their union was blessed with two children, Timothy Dillon and Kathleen Dillon Selby, who carry forward their father's legacy of kindness, integrity, and humor.  Tim was also a doting grandfather to Jaron Dillon, Hannah Dillon, Anne Selby, and Mary Selby, each of whom brought immeasurable joy and pride to his life.

Tim will be fondly remembered for his radiant smile, wit, and jokes he shared to lighten any room.  His warmth and generosity touched countless lives, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those he loved.

Preceding him in death were his siblings, brother Daniel Dillon and sister Rose Dillon Garaguo, whose memories he held dear.  

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, two organizations that held special significance for him.

We celebrate a life well-lived and a legacy of love.  His spirit will forever echo in the laughter of his family, the kindness shared among friends, and the cherished memories that will keep him alive in our hearts.  May he rest in peace.
