Vincent Giardina II

Vincent “Vince” Giardina II, age 78, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, surrounded by his children and closest friends.

Vince was born on May 23, 1947. He grew up in Leland, Mississippi, and later relocated to Pensacola, Florida, where he made his home for the past 38 years alongside his lifelong friends, Stoney Dale, Steve and Charles Lillo.

Vince lived life to the fullest and was known for his love of cars and his unwavering passion for the New Orleans Saints. He loved to dance, music by Patsy Cline, traveling, attending concerts, and cheering at sporting events. More than anything, he cherished time spent with family and friends, creating lasting memories with those he loved most.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Evelyn Giardina; his brother, Frankie Giardina; his sister, Lisa Nance; his son, Matthew Vincent Giardina; and his grandson, William L. Hamberlin II.

Vince is survived by his daughters, Katie (Laird) Hamberlin of Memphis, Tennessee; Karen (Keith) Fitzgerald of Madison, Mississippi; and Cody Elijah Giardina of Milton, Florida; his grandchildren, Hunter (Rabia) Hamberlin of Houston, Texas, Walker Hamberlin of Atlanta, Georgia, Reid Giardina of Roanoke, Alabama, Waverly, Trace and McKenna Fitzgerald of Madison, Mississippi; and by his sister, Sheila (Kelly) Gerrard of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply, including Teeny Horn of Leland, Mississippi.

Memorial contributions may be made in Vince’s honor to the Sacred Heart Foundation of Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Vince will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, his love of life, and the joy he brought to everyone around him.
