Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wanda Faye, who left this world early Friday morning. A devoted mother to her six children and cherished grandmother to 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, Wanda's impact on her family and all who knew her was profound.

Wanda faced numerous health challenges over the years, beginning with an ocular stroke that impacted her sight and led to declining health. Despite experiencing the trials of severe pain and multiple medical issues, she remained resolute, refusing surgical intervention and choosing instead to navigate her journey with grace and dignity.

Though her physical body faced many struggles, Wanda's spirit shone brightly. She embraced her life with a New Orleans flair, and it is her wish that there be no formal viewing or funeral service. Instead, she requested that each person who loved her celebrate her life in their own unique way, honoring the vibrant and joyful spirit that she embodied.

Wanda will find her final rest alongside Franklin D. Reece at which time, a celebration of life is planned for her interment. In lieu of arrangements, plants, or flowers, her family kindly asks that any donations or contributions made in her honor go towards helping others, perpetuating the kindness and generosity that characterized her life.

Let us remember Wanda Faye not with sorrow, but with the love and joy she brought into our lives.
